It would be very interesting to get a larger sample of ticket prices.
I used to live in Zurich and the transport system there is amazingly good. You can get an "travelcard"
for the WHOLE of switzerland for 1,328 GBP. all trains, buses, trams, most ships and discounts on private mountain railways. ( also for a spouse a card would be half of that)
One day travel card Zurich : 3.73 GBP
