Oystercards

Remember that from the 25th September (tomorrow) all adult weekly travelcards will all be issued on Oystercard stock. No more magnetic tickets. So all those naughty people buying zones 2&3 for example and then travelling through zone 1 won't be able to do that anymore.

I imagine we are going to have loads of angry/annoyed customers when they found out they will have to pay the correct fares for their journeys.

You have always had to "officially" pay whilst travelling through zone 1, even if you don't disembark. With magnetic tickets, unless you got stopped by revenue, then chances are you would get away with it.

With Oystercards, if you travel through a particular zone and you don't have that zone or sufficient pre-pay then you will de deducted the amount owed and will have to repay the monies owed before you can reuse your oystercard.

don't mean to look like an idiot but how the hell can they stop you from going through zone 1 if you don't have to pass through any ticket gates?
